Current project Ex Championship winning hill climb Lotus Elise. 285BHP Turbocharged 1.4 Litre K Series engine.

This car was actually found by its owner in pieces, in a barn and came to us as an unfinished project, with questionable gearbox, cylinder head and a lot of parts in boxes. The car is now well on its way to former glory and as an added twist we have been asked to make it road legal as well. An interesting project as there is no room for an alternator with all those intake pipes for the turbo. A solution will be found, watch this space!!

A cunning solution to the alternator problem has been found in the form of a custom designed link directly to the end of the camshaft. The link incorporates a cushion drive which will provide smooth delivery to the lightweight alternator. This should be enough to keep the battery topped up even running at half engine speed
