For Sale Honda NSX
£69,500
UKDM NSX-T manual.....one of 2 1996 UK Honda press cars, this one featured in the August 1996 Motor Sport magazine test against a Porsche 911 Targa (supplied with the car). It won on all counts!
Full service history, 16 stamps in the service book up to 05/07/18 and now has 74K miles. Car will be fully serviced by Nortonway Honda on its return to the UK. All receipts available. Accompanying the car is the original Honda book pack and 2 sets of keys. New tyres have just been fitted all round.
The car was standard when bought (apart from the period correct Kahn 17/18” wheels): as it’s a “T”, Type-R front and a Type-S adjustable rear ARB and aluminium top and bottom Type-R chassis bars have been added. Also a rear original LED brake cluster to the rear wing as fitted to later models. A USA-Spec interface is installed in the centre console so you can play ipod/iphone through the original stereo.
Nortonway Honda fitted a new clutch back in March 2012, a cambelt change in July 2015 and replaced all hoses front to rear, front upper and lower ball joints together with the later type VTEC LMA’s.
The front and rear brake calipers were rebuilt by Bigredd, coated black with red NSX highlights, 4 new discs/pads fitted, Goodridge hoses front and rear and new Bilstein shocks fitted (including a full set of OEM bushes) with original springs on the lower perch so the car sits slightly lower (it can be raised to standard height if required). Full tracking and wheel alignment was undertaken after the suspension had settled......this transformed the handling and is exactly what is expected from an NSX and probably not far off a coupe. The climate control circuit board was refurbished by Kaz (NSX guru in Milton Keynes) together with the main relay as a spare. Finally, a stainless Pride exhaust system was fitted ....it’s a work of art: resonates a bit between 2 to 3K but beyond that sounds sublime.
All original parts have been retained apart from the old clutch and shocks.
It also has NSX embossed over-mats, both boot struts were re-charged, battery is recent as is the earth lead, new drivers side wiper (with original aerofoil to keep it down on the return sweep), new seals to the rear light clusters, the run flat spare is with car and boot tool kit is complete. You’ll notice the sticky number plate on the front, beneficial for 2 reasons: better for cooling and stops any stone chips.......original plate and mount retained. The car still has its original window stickers and engraved numbers on the front and rear screens.
